Iguassu
Iguassu

Iguassu Falls, Brazil. This was just off the busy walking track with little space and time to shoot. I used a tighter crop, included onlookers for scale and set a decent shutter speed to capture the fine spay.

Lake Bled
Lake Bled

Lake Bled, Croatia. I spent 2 hours walking around the lake looking for a slightly different perspective. Around half-way I came across these shoes from the local rowing club scattered over a small jetty.

Mount Agung
Mount Agung

Bali, Indonesia. I’m not an early morning person but it was worth the 4am rise to travel here in time for sunrise. These rice fields were bathed in a lovely golden light set against early morning mist and stunning Mount Agung Volcano.

Lion Rock
Lion Rock

Sigiriya, Sri Lanka. The foreground reflection framed this UNESCO world heritage site perfectly. Zoomed in, it’s just possible to make out people standing on the top left on this enormous natural wonder.

Lonely Beach
Lonely Beach

Grange Beach, Adelaide, Australia. I really liked this scene due to the mix of of textures, leading lines and lone figure.

Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu, Peru. Always a challenge to photograph such an iconic site. I decided to get above the crowds and capture a wider view with some hikers for scale. The weather systems change regularly here, and I like how the distant rain showers add to the mood.

Morning Light
Morning Light

Bali, Indonesia. These golden rays cut through the surrounding vegetation during an early morning walk. A lone palm tree in the rice fields was nicely framed by the light.

Sanur Beach
Sanur Beach

Bali, Indonesia. This lone Pagoda sits against warm hues of the morning’s sunrise. I like the Fibonacci Spirale created by the beach as it wraps around the Pagoda.

Tegenungan
Tegenungan

Bali, Indonesia. This couple in red (posing for wedding shots?) works nicely in Black and White. I adjusted my aperture to capture the pebbles stacked in the foreground and my shutter to blur the water.

The Forest
The Forest

Adelaide, Australia. Taken in the Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens on a foggy day, I used colour cross-processing to add some additional drama.

Wanaka
Wanaka

Lake Wanaka, New Zealand. This lone tree, a crack willow (salix fragilis), sits just off the shore and grows miraculously out the water.
